Clan Motor Company Crusader

1971 - 1973

The Clan Crusader had a promising start in life selling around 350 cars in it's brief initial life. Government grants meant that a purpose built factory was used to produce these cars at a rate of 5 per week at its peak.

Based on Hillman Imp mechanicals and running gear the Crusader had sprightly performance from it's 51hp motor and lightweight glass fibre monocoque chassis. Production run was short mainly due to financial difficulties and supply problems.

The Clan Crusador made a couple more appearances after its initial demise right through until the late eighties. A sibling in the McCoy was also created as a spin off to the Crusader.
